Daily you hear about obesity and being overweight on the news, in magazines, television ads and in blogs. There is a national epidemic here in Canada, but no one really seems to be paying much attention.
Using hypnosis for weight loss has been helping people for many years but still because it is not readily recognized by the medical community, it does not get the publicity or get recognized for its success. Hypnosis and weight loss still has to be publicized as much as the disease itself.
As a teen, I suffered from being overweight even though I was actively involved in sports. I always felt like a wall-flower because of my weight. I’ve been there done that and continue the struggle.
Health Canada’s resource for Canadian health statistics, http://www.statcan.gc.ca/eng/health/index states that in 2014 smoking rates in Canada fell to their lowest level since 2001. Why? Because obesity has taken over as the front runner. They state, and I quote “For example, one in five Canadians, 18 years of age or older – roughly 5.3 million people – reported height and weight that classified them as obese”.
That is just the adults! In a report from CBC News in 2012, 31% of Canadian kids are overweight or obese. Check out this video http://www.cbc.ca/player/Embedded-Only/News/ID/2281564026/.
